2. Tower Cabinet : (Vertical arrangement)

Now there are various types of desktop and tower cabinets in different sizes to suite ones individual requirements to choose accordingly.

  

Full ATX (Advanced Technology Extended) cabinets.
Feature : Automatic powerdown on Turn off.

3. SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supplier)-Powerplant

Main : 230 V AC
Distribution to various parts in DC.

4. Flow of Power

Supply connector from SMPS to motherboard.

1. Power to CPU fan. (12v)
2. Power to IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) drives
   (1) Hard Disk Drive -HDD
   (2) Floppy Diskette Drive -FDD
   (3) CD/DVD ROM/Writer -Optical Drive.
   (4) Additional HDD (Power = 17 V DC (each))
3. LED (Light Emitting Diodes) – Indicator lights = 0.2 – 2.2V

6. (MEMORY) RAM (Random Acccess memory)
